Focus Groups

We have 6 Focus Groups in the guild. These are small groups of members within the club who meet separately to share ideas, techniques, and challenges in a specific area of quilting. Currently our groups are Appliqué, Art Quilting, Long Arm Quilting, Machine Embroidery, Miniature, and Paper Piecing. Each group sets its own meeting times and agenda usually before or after announcements on meeting days or on Sew-in days.

Art Quilters

The Art Lunch Bunch is for quilters who have a strong interest in exploring the art quilt world. Our goal is for this group to evolve into a very active art group that really stretches all of us to experiment and learn by using new ideas, techniques, and different mediums in creating and designing our own art quilts.

Machine Embroidery Group (MEG)

The "Machine Embroidery Group" is dedicated to furthering the skills and accomplishments of the group members. This is done through educational sessions, projects done in groups, and group members sharing insights and information with one another. All sewers with an embroidery unit for their machine are welcome, no matter their skill level or duration of residence. The group furthermore seeks to increase the general awareness of the beauty and utility of machine embroidery on all fabrics, especially on quilts.

The MEG Group meets on the 2nd Friday of every month immediately following the Business meeting
